Moritz Krauth’s artist book Snapshot—I Answered All My Questions evolves from an ongoing photographic collaboration with queer performer and activist Faafa Fine. The project approaches identity as a relational and shifting process, formed through dialogue, proximity and exchange. Rejecting fixed roles between photographer and subject, Krauth develops a shared visual practice where images emerge from moments of transition, between visibility and withdrawal, vulnerability and assertion.
Krauth works as an artist and lecturer. Spanning photography, text, video and performance, their work explores, through literature as a starting point, the transformative potential of identity and relationships. Krauth’s work has recently been presented and commissioned by, among others, the following venues: Serpentine (London, UK), Museum Ludwig (Köln, DE), K21 (Kunstsammlung NRW, Düsseldorf, DE).
