Florence Loewy
Paris • France
For over thirty years, Florence Loewy has been developing a unique project at the intersection of books and contemporary art, with a focus on experimental and conceptual forms. From the very beginning, she has maintained a resolutely forward-looking approach, attentive to emerging artists as well as works that defy easy categorization. Her commitment to publishing, notably through an exceptional collection of rare and historic artists’ books, forms the foundation of her acclaimed pioneering work, carried out in parallel with a demanding exhibition program.
Established in the Marais in 2001, the gallery opened a space that serves as both a bookstore and an exhibition venue.
Florence Loewy has produced books and multiples with artists such as Robert Barry, Dominique Blais, Barbara Bloom, Claude Closky, General Idea, Michel François, Sara MacKillop, Jonathan Monk, Olaf Nicolai, José Quintanar, Francesc Ruiz, Yann Sérandour, and Lawrence Weiner.
