THE SHY GUY is an annual fanzine about naked guys and eros. Conceived as a piece of eye candy, it features a cast of twelve boys next door, illustrating the idea of an “eroscope.” Founded in 2019 by illustrator Claire Detallante and fashion editor Benoît Béthume, THE SHY GUY gets his inspiration from amateur erotic photography and antic figures. As an exercise of pure contemplation of men in common spaces and situations, it offers a gradually unveiled nudity. Pick your favorite — it’s fun, it’s cute, and it’s hot.
