Les Murmurations refers to the act of whispering. Whispers are diffuse, discreet yet haunting—humble yet irrepressible expressions. Éditions les Murmurations collaborates with artists who believe that communicating ideas is essential, and that a book is a simple object that resonates in ever-new ways.
This new venture springs from collective intelligence, much like murmurations—like shifting clouds of starlings.
Les Murmurations is a publisher of artist books. “Artist” is to be understood in the broadest sense: anyone can be an artist, even just occasionally. Les Murmurations pays particular attention to the artistic potential of activities not traditionally associated with art. “Artist’s book” is to be understood in the strictest sense: a work of art in its own right, an artistic experience of everyday life.
