La Morina, alias Fred Morin, is a multidisciplinary artist working between Paris and Tours, where he teaches photography and image-based practices at the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design. In his spare time, when he is not destroying books published by Taschen by cutting out cocks and flowers for his collages, La Morina illustrates and self-publishes zines using images lifted from the internet and his collection of vintage magazines. By means of a joyful appropriation of 1980s gay porn iconography he pays homage to a generation of actors who for the most have passed away. For the Paris Ass Book Fair 2024, he launches the issue 4 of his OOOh Boy! Fagazine, and presents an ensemble of new publications, posters, and original collages.
