Ejemplar is an independent publishing platform founded in 2024 by Carol Martínez and Carmen Herrero.

Working across personal and collaborative projects, Ejemplar approaches printed matter as a space for visual research, critical reflection and artistic experimentation. Their practice understands publishing as a collective and expanded process, where each project becomes an opportunity to ask new questions.

At the core of Ejemplar’s work is an interest in expanding the margins of what is considered publishable—understanding editing not only as the production of books, but also as a way of shaping relationships, images, ideas, and public encounters.
