Bao Books is an independent publishing house, a bookstore and an editorial design agency.

Committed to a collective, transdisciplinary, and transcultural approach, Bao Books publishes a diverse range of works, from monographs and artist books to thematic and collective publications. Working closely with artists from the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region and beyond, they focus on unique projects and produce books in small print runs.

Their mission is to highlight the talent of artists from the region, whether emerging or established. Bao Books strive to capture and convey the essence of the artists’ work through meticulous publishing, thoughtful design, and high-quality production.
