PARIS ASS BOOK FAIR
The 9th edition of Paris Ass Book Fair will take place from 26 to 28 February 2027 at Lafayette Anticipations. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Paris Ass Book Fair is taking over the entire building designed by Rem Koolhaas on Rue du Plâtre, in the heart of Marais.
Paris Ass Book Fair was born from the desire to give an important place to marginal and untimely sensibilities, desires and aspirations, and to affirm a joyful approach to art and publishing, a taste for provocation and the absurd, an urge to stimulate minds and bodies. It is a celebration of countercultures in all their richness and diversity, where one can discover—among others—gay, queer, feminist, underground, punk, decolonial artists and publishers, as well as defenders of environment or researchers exploring the margins of conventional systems of thought.
Every year since 2017, the fair has brought together dozens of artists, booksellers, publishers and zinesters from all over the world around this commitment: to show printed matter as a medium in its own right, a vehicle for creativity, individual and collective expression. The publications and projects presented at the fair adopt formats at the crossroads of many fields: fanzines, artists’ books, magazines, clothing, multiples, novels, essays, posters, etc.
The fair is curated with the constant concern of privileging those who have limited access to the market and whose creations are not found in the usual distribution circuits; as well as those who give voice to experiences and questionings which go against the majority norms.
A place for sharing tastes and ideas, the fair proposes a program of talks and performances.
For its 8th edition, the Paris Ass Book Fair is rethinking its scenography to offer more space to each exhibitor and a better experience for its visitors.
The open call, accessible through the following link, is open until 1st November 2026.
