The work of Quentin Chevenet, born in 1985, focuses on the place of the ephebe in a society that is more open than ever before, but hardly more tolerant.

The ephebe finds himself confronted with a macho, patriarchal society that threatens LGBTQIA+ people with physical and verbal violence. This pressure can also take the form of the couple, romantic ideals, and their fetishes. Quentin Chevenet plays with the codes of virility and the blurred boundary between the archetype of machismo and the re-appropriation of these codes in the LGBTQIA+ universe.
