Inés Cardo

Inés Cardó is a Peruvian/Spanish artist based in London. Through printmaking, self-publishing, and other media, she explores the themes of diasporic identity and the body as archive. Her work focuses mainly on the colonial legacy of the Global North in Latin America, and how bodies have become archives of these experiences of struggle and resistance. She likes to observe simple, everyday actions among migrant communities (such as cooking traditions or body adornment) and portray them as ways of reclaiming and reframing history.
