Who would have thought that the GayKitschCamp association, founded by Patrick Cardon in Aix-en-Provence in 1987, as a distributor of little-known LGBT texts, would turn into a full-fledged publishing house? In 1989, to celebrate the bicentenary of the French Revolution, it unearthed a pamphlet from 1791, Les Enfans de Sodome à l’Assemblée Nationale, and thus began its publishing adventure devoted to the republication of historical texts and documents. This year will be the occasion to rediscover the following texts: L’Affaire Deschauffours (1725), thanks to Christine Duthoit; Épingle de femme sous le bonnet viril (17th century, China), edited by Pierrick Rivet; and Alain Rox’s Tu seras seul (1936), edited by Jean-Marc Barféty, who continues his studies on the LGBT history of Paris.
