UNITY

“We make gay zines and gay skateboards.” Initially started off as a way to print and distribute the playful drawings of founder Jeffrey Cheung, Unity has developed into a composite of efforts to celebrate how queer the world is. With the help of his boyfriend, Gabriel Ramirez, they print and publish their own works and invite friends and artists they admire to share theirs, often unveiling aberrant themes, little-big ideas, freeform research, visual exploration, and anything within or outside of the adjacency of these topics. Unity also makes skateboards (Jeffrey is a very gay skater) and connects queer & trans skaters together via the web or through skate day gatherings.
