Sayo Senoo

Sayo Senoo is a Japanese artist who employs atypical materials such as used condoms gathered from outdoor meeting places, air samples from the forbidden zones of Fukushima, or animal organs discarded by hunters in the Arctic. Her works, which are full of humor and sensitivity, and centered around waste and abandoned objects, allow the artist to tackle themes such as purity and impurity, risk and contamination, bodies and pleasure, the visible and the invisible, landing in a space of deep reflection.Publishing is a way for her to document her ephemeral work and to engage in another creative medium in its own right.
