Posh Arthur is a Parisian artist who maintains a precious link to the gay imagery of the 1970s and 80s. Through his collection of vintage magazines, he revives the carefree and eternally sublime beauty of a generation that has silently disappeared. His collages blend desires with memories and testify to a fantasized past by exploring the representation and liberation of male sexuality. For PABF 2023, Posh Arthur presents a selection of posters and collages from his “Plis” series, in which he sidesteps Instagram censorship to circulate explicit images. He follows up this reflection with his “mecs à gratter” collection, composed of scratch cards that reveal his favorite actors.
