Polari Press

Polari Press was established in 2020 and, over the past three years, has released eleven books by queer authors including art, poetry and memoir. Founded by Peter Collins, it takes its name from the secret queer slang spoken during the mid-20th century when homosexuality was criminalised in the UK — Polari. Polari Press is an independent publishing house and design studio which seeks out hidden voices and helps them be heard.
