Pietra Publications

Pietra Publications was started in 2017 in Ghent, Belgium, by Belgian artist Tom Van den Wijngaert to publish his zines and prints. In his works, he takes a close look at themes such as memory, souvenirs and (queer) intimacy. Following a loose common thread, the books combine Tom’s more personal research with his love for history, semiotics and wordplay. They are mostly made up of photography and text, with occasional deviations from that path. Since starting Pietra Publications, Tom has traveled Europe to several books and zines fairs. His work has been included in several libraries and collections.
