Margaux Bigou
Punaʻauia • Tahiti
Margaux Bigou, born in New Caledonia, looks to her origins for inspiration when illustrating. The creatures found in her works are drawn from the feet of coconut palms, the hollows of shells and warm sand, and from the abyssal depths. The melancholic monsters assailed by the heat take refuge in the heart of her experimental publications, which combine silk-screening, risograph printing, and patience. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and currently based in Tahiti, she travels the world to share her work. For this edition of the PABF, Bigou will show her work alongside the artist duo Mozziconacci Robert-Teyssier, who will present their zine series Entrelacs.
