Area Books is an independent publishing house run by Laure-Anne Kayser (founder of Bureau Kayser) that is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary visual artists. With a focus on experimental practices, AREA draws inspiration from remote visions of our world in order to reveal its ambiguity. AREA speaks of imagined, futuristic or projected territories, and creates book projects in close collaboration with its artists and authors.
