Lolita Bourdon

Lolita Bourdon, born in La Réunion, studied fashion in South Africa, then fine arts in La Réunion and Hamburg. She sees her work as a space for reflection on the act of looking, and in particular on the multiple points of view which depend on who is looking, when, where and how. Hungry for images, she picks them out from the history of art without hierarchy, spontaneously, like a pastry chef mixing different ingredients to make a success of his recipe, making the cream rise without it turning into butter. Lolita divides her time between her native island and Paris. She is currently in residence at 59 Rivoli.
