Charlotte Nicoli uses performance to critique the paradoxes of our time. She uses a minimal and trivial visual language, calling upon registers of the everyday and the service society, where precision and polysemy meet. Our certainties, representations, systems and logics are challenged, shaking up fundamental aspects of our lives. In a concern for constant exchange with others, and loving to play with meanings in a humorous way, Charlotte Nicoli most often proposes performative devices for exhibition spaces, public spaces or on the web.
