Blan.bek

Blan.bek is a jack-of-all-trades, multidisciplinary, extremely ass-ertive artist. He generally deals with rather crude, offbeat, obscene, vulgar issues—current issues that he approaches with a sarcastic touch. He has a real attraction for bad taste, kitsch and the “home-made.” His work is very diverse, especially because of his use of many materials in his publications. He has not hesitated to destroy dozens of printers in order to experiment with prints on new supports: leather, Scotch tape, wallpaper, rattan, Polystyrene, fabrics, etc. He is an artist who has things to say, but who does not know how to write, or does not want to, and chooses to favour form over content.
