Niels Poiz (born in 1991) emphasises the use of language, narrative, sociology and communication in popular culture, cyberculture, general media and pop music, by the means of performances, installations, print works, videos and books. He specifically addresses themes such as identity, coming of age, sexuality and mental health. He mixes up the texts he appropriates while writing everyday fragments himself. His artwork speaks of the age in which language is disconnected from its informative function and words are abstracted from their meaning.
