Nar / نار
Paris • France
Nar/نار is a collective of three Lebanese artists-authors who are interested in non-conforming bodies and sexualities, and relate to it through illustration, posters and comics. They believe that most of the stories they tell and the visuals they create are the result of their struggle to exist in increasingly closed and conservative societies. It is their main motivation to construct visual representations and find poetry in the less known of themselves, and of the world—the monstrous, the virtual, the funny, the technological, the phantasmagorical. At the moment, and ever since they live in Paris, they are looking for opportunities to produce small-scale publications in risography and silkscreen, self-published comics, organise live drawing concerts and make videos and music.
