Espaces fantômes / Alex Morvan
Paris • France

“Espaces fantômes” is a series of publications aiming to build a phantasmagorical archaeology of gay spaces in Western Europe using real and imaginary archives.
“Espaces fantômes” uses artificial intelligence as a tool to fantasise about those “safe spaces” of which nothing remains or which never existed, to shed light on shadowy areas of history and re-enact other possible pasts, outside a generalised system of repression.
“Espaces fantômes” is an offshoot of 643 Collective. A number of the collective’s works on masculinity, same-sex-parents families and invisibilized tales of women under colonisation will also be presented.
