Erwan Roussel

Erwan Roussel is a French artist and illustrator. Inspired by archaeology and folk imagery, his work offers a tender, intimate, and sometimes surrealist rereading of fairytales and pagan figures. His drawings, with their clear and curved lines, are filled with witches, queer sweetness, and fantastical natural occurrences. Erwan adapts different printing techniques, such as silk-screen, letterpress, and risograph printing, according to his publishing projects. His authorial approach thus takes the shape of multiple formats and media, including books, fanzines, card games, and posters.
