ÉDITIONS TROUBLE / CENSORED
Paris • France

Éditions trouble is a community publishing house that brings out fiction, artists’ books, poetry and essays. Its ambition is to raise voices and build a feminist editorial archive in favour of social justice, mixing intimate narratives with political perspectives.
It publishes the magazine Censored. Founded in 2018 by sisters Apolline and Clémentine Labrosse, Censored documents contemporary art, culture and struggles from a feminist and queer perspective. It brings together emerging voices and little-known archives to talk about violence, body, ecology, transmission and geography. Each issue explores a different theme, combining literature, social criticism, poetry, “cartes blanches,” photography and illustration to create a living, intimate, political archive. Inspired by the DIY documentation movements of the feminist avant-garde, Censored constantly questions new ways of creating, disseminating artistic practices and knowledge, transforming imaginations and producing differently.
