Goswell Road est un espace d’art indépendant et une maison d’édition fondés en novembre 2016 par le duo artistique franco-anglais Ruiz Stephinson. Le nom du projet est emprunté à la rue où les artistes habitaient à Londres avant de déménager à Paris, et il semble dériver de la formule « Le Puit du Dieu », en référence à la pratique païenne de rites d’adoration autour des sources d’eau. Ils éditent un livre pour chaque exposition produite et composent un bouquet de fleurs en parallèle aux œuvres exposées. Leur dernière publication est un livre consacré à l’œuvre de l’artiste et vidéaste américain Tom Rubnitz, Where’s the Pickle? That’s the Surprise! Comprenant des interviews, des images et des textes écrits par des collaborateurs et la famille de l’artiste, ce livre est disponible dès à présent sur précommande.
Goswell Road (est. 2016) is an artist-run-space and publishing house set up in the atelier of Franco-British artist duo Ruiz Stephinson. The name originates from the road the artists lived on in London, before relocating to Paris, and is said to derive from the phrase “God’s Well,” which references the pagan practice of well-worship. With each show at the space a book is published and a bouquet of flowers is curated in parallel with the works shown. Their last publication is the first book dedicated to the work of American video artist Tom Rubnitz, Where’s the Pickle? That’s the Surprise! Featuring interviews, images and texts from Rubnitz’s collaborators and family, the book is available to pre-order online now.
