En avril 2018, antoine lefebvre éditions ouvre 本 \hon\ books, un espace dédié à la microédition au sein des Grands Voisins dans l’ancien hôpital Saint Vincent de Paul.
À la fois librairie et bibliothèque de publications d’artistes (livre d’artistes, revue, fanzines), ce lieu propose chaque mois des focus sur des artistes éditeurs français et internationaux.
Inspiré des librairies japonaises de seconde main et de l’œuvre One and Three Chairs de Joseph Kosuth, le nom de ce nouveau lieu offre la même proposition sous trois formes : un idéogramme, sa prononciation, et sa traduction, 本 = livre.
In April 2018, antoine lefebvre editions opens 本 \ hon\ books, a space dedicated to self-publishing and small press in Les Grands Voisins, a former hospital.
This space is a bookshop as well as an archive for artist’s publications (artists’ books, magazines and zines). Each month, 本 \hon\ books proposes focuses on French and International artists, in the form of book exhibitions. The name 本 \ hon\ books is inspired by Japanese second-hand bookstores and by Joseph Kosuth’s One and Three Chairs, and provides the same information in three formats: an ideogram, its Japanese pronunciation, and its translation (本 = book.)
